Happy November! Y’all I have always wanted to do a post about traveling out of the country and at last here we are! I got to visit, wait for it……Paris and Barcelona!!! My inner child is screaming! My friend Mallory and I got to go to the land of the fancy people, well to me because umm fashion, and architecture! Just looking at the buildings reminded me of being in a magazine or a movie. It was picture perfect, and with my photography eye I was excited!!! Plus give it up for the Eiffel Tower, she’s a beaut!!!!! I got to see her in the day and the night when she sparkles!

More Paris Things
Paris Basketball

I got to see Paris Basketball play! I thoroughly enjoy basketball games live, the energy, the music, the fast pace keeps my attention, and live sports there is nothing like it. Prior to this game it had been years since I’ve been to a basketball game live, so being back in the energy was a nice change in pace.
Musee Du Louvre

Ohhlala, now if you ever visit Paris please oh please go to the “Musee Du Louvre,” there are so many gorgeous art pieces to see, along with the interior design, and all the artistic details of the building. Plus you know Miss Mona lives there, now she is little but she is an icon!
Moulin Rouge

Now, thanks to my friend Mallory, last minute but a good find, Moulin Rouge tickets!! Y’all I was snuggly sleeping in my room while she was up late in her room finding these. When we arrived to the location we got to bypass the line and we were seated near the stage (secret weapon must stay with us)!! We were seated at the second table closest to the stage, which honestly was still so close! Omg and the costume changes, the dance transitions, and the tricks where strength and balance were tested! It was an amazing show to see filled with talented dancers and singers, and again the costumes (some glowed in the dark, some had lights on them, and some just beautifully detailed and bedazzled). Our last night in Paris was definitely one for the books!!
Cafe Culture

Oh I can’t forget the night cafe culture! You are telling me I can pull on up to a cafe for a coffee or dessert late a night and that is normal! So whether you need a late night dinner, snack or you simply want a sweet treat you have so many options all around you. I am not into partying so being able to be out in a calm setting was my kind of night.
Barcelona
Sagrada Familia

Now let us hop on over to Barcelona! Two words, Sagrada Familia, now the tickets to see the inside were sold out so when you travel definitely get these tickets in advance. We obviously got to see the outside of the building which was amazing to see as it is.
Casa Batlló

We did get to see the inside of Casa Batlló. Walking through there made me feel like I was inside a Disney movie. I truly cannot believe that it use to be someone’s home. It looks like every child’s happy place, well if they like whimsy.
Arc de Triomf

Mallory and I walked around Arc de Triomf which is surrounded by shops, food, and drinks so you know the first thing I had to do was get a matcha from Matcha Crew, and after all of our walking we found the cutest brunch spot, Berry Brunch!
Dance Emotion

If you don’t know I love dance and I take weekly classes, so you know we had to make time to do what we love, dance, and how cool that I got to take a dance class out of the country with my friend!! We went to Dance Emotion, everyone was friendly, and we had a good time. Y’all buckle up though the challenge was learning choreo in Spanish! So, I understood some Spanish but I am not exactly fluent just yet, therefore I couldn’t ask questions regarding the choreography. Luckily, my friend and I are visual learners, and I understand a little Spanish, but it was also a beautiful reminder that I need to get back into my learning a second language bag.
Shopping

Oh and we went shopping! Now, seeing that we brought a carry on we could only get one thing and that beautiful thing, wait for it, Iet Frans sweatpants! I don’t care what anyone says, this fit I have not found here in California, but the Urban Outfitters in Barcelona had them along with way more color options in the original sweatpants style that is seen in most dance classes in the OC and LA are. I approve and I am proud of this purchase! Plus when I wear these I feel like I’m floating in the air, an angel on earth perhaps…haha.
This was an amazing trip, good food, good coffee, night cafes, beautiful architecture, shows and experiencing all of this with my friend Mallory! I will definitely be back and int is a trip to remember.

Barcelona Things

And I can’t forget on our way back during our layover in Atlanta we learned a TikTok dance, was it perfect? No, we had just been in the air for over 10 hours, but was it fun? Yes! I think it was the best layover experience a person could have prior to getting back on the plane to LAX. My reminder to travel when you can, make memories, and have fun experiences with your people!!
Much love,
Gabrielle
