Happy June! Summer is not yet upon us but it’s really close. Usually with summer comes a new wardrobe, but for summer 2025′ I am at a place where I am not spending a bunch of money on a new wardrobe. So, I started looking in my closet for things I barely wear and thought about how I can change the items to something I’d rock now. On the wardrobe menu: I upcycled a pair of shorts, a men’s Hawaiian button-down, a knit vest, socks, and a hat.

The Shorts
Before:

I cut the short a little more and added a few pins for detail.

The Vest

Sewed on jewels.

The Hawaiian Shirt

Cut to a crop.

The Sock
Before:

Added pins to the socks.

The Hat
Before:

Sewed on jewels and added pins.

A little creativity goes a long way! Plus who doesn’t like something new on a freebie budget. Even the jewels and pins I had were just sitting in my closet. Have some fun giving old items a facelift!
Wishing you all a beautiful June!!!

Gabrielle
